A generation Awakens...

There were these five guys Tanmay, Ajit, Amit, Chandrashekhar, and Santhanagopalan.
Tanmay Born and brought up in a family in Vadodara, Gujarat, he comes from a family of moderate means. When he was a student in Hindi Mishra Shala , a Municipality School in Vadodara, his father passed away in a road accident. This stroke of misfortune threatened his education. He somehow managed to continue his schooling in his ancestral village while working on the family farm. He attended high school in Jodhpur. He attended IIT Bombay and continued his education at Georgia Tech University and New York University.
Ajit did his B. Tech.in Mechanical Engg from IIT Bombay and M.Tech also in Mechanical Engg IIT Bombay.
Amit was born in a farmer's family at Beesen Gaon ,Buxar Dist.,Bihar. His primary education started a bit late in Patna. Later he moved to Rohtak (Haryana) with his father who is a central government employee. He did his high school from University Campus School, Rohtak and completed undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engg from IIT Bombay.
Chandrashekhar was born at the Village of Banta, Rajasthan, he spent his initial years and had his primary education in Vadodara, Gujarat. After the death of his father continued his studies at his ancestral village. Attended high school in Jodhpur and completed his undergraduate degree in Computer Sc and Engg at IIT Kanpur.Consecutively three times won 1 st prize in Annual All India Robotics competition at IITs. Unlike his college fellows who went abroad for higher education he stayed back in India.
Then there was Santhanagopalan ,born and brought up in Chennai, he attended high school in Singapore and went to USA to pursue higher education. After finishing his BS in Physics and MA in Economics, he went on to develop a revolutionary financial product for the real estate market.
So what’s the big deal here are five guys who have studied from IIT. This is where their education ended and their real education started.
Santhanagopalan’s keen insight into economics makes him believe that India can be turned into a formidable economic power if the current political system is made efficient, dynamic and accountable.
Due to a high level of corruption, and ideological and intellectual bankruptcy in almost all the established social and political organizations, the current plight of India and the grim future facing the country, Tanmay left USA and came back to India to do whatever is necessary for the Land. Over the years he has been involved in lots of social and political activities and organizations both in India and abroad. He was illegally detained and tortured in police custody in Saira while working in rural areas of Rajasthan on false charges on 27th July 2005.
From his experience he realized that all the problems of society are interconnected and none of them can be solved separately. That is why any attempt that is made to solve them separately while ignoring the other inherently interrelated problems itself becomes a problem and hence is bound to fail.
Right from his stay at IIT Kanpur Chandrashekhar met various social and political leaders. After graduation he was involved in and planned various social and political awareness movement and activities but betrayed by those who appeared to be the most enthusiastically concerned about the problems of the Land. He faced not only non-cooperation but active deterrence by the current champions of the social and political cause. Intensively studied social, political, ideological and military history to dig out the root cause of all the problems of the Land, which exists against all the rational logic.
Faced with this situation five IITians, all in their 20's, have decided to take up mainstream politics. Seems like Mani Rathnam’s Yuva is getting off the reels. They started a political party by the name “Paritrana
(Trana) means the act of relieving a conscious entity from the state of distress or pain. However, this relief may not be of permanent nature. (Paritrana) is the complete relief implying the end of the very cause of distress. Their Ideology is straightforward and precise “Knowing the Problem is Knowing the Solution ”.
“Giving up handsome pay packages, comfort of family and support of friends wasn’t that easy,’’ says Tanmay Rajpurohit, the national president of the party.
“People think we are crazy so much so that our families have also failed to understand our motto, but we won’t give up,’’ Ajit says.
“I believe that we are just five ordinary boys from the middle class family with no godfathers in politics but have dared to come forward and fight for our rights,’’ said Chandrashekhar. “And we will succeed in it,’’ he added.
Amen……
Hope you will remember this story .
